Home Decor is for the birds!

Hi friends, Mary Ann here today with some home decor that’s for the birds!!  I spotted this cute little wooden birdhouse at a local craft store and thought it would be fun to dress up a bit with the beautiful papers in “Antique Garden”, the March add-on kit.

After a quick coat of white paint, I added the pretty doily paper to the roof,  and shredded some of the left over scraps to look like a little nest peeking out. The “Follow Your Heart” banner is part of the bar code strip on one of the papers!!

I cut out one of the small flower doilies, and added it with some flowers I made from the patterned papers, along with the pretty yellow lattice paper to the sides.  For an extra added touch, I couldn’t resist adding the clear glass knob to the front for the perch.  Right now I have my sweet little birdhouse sitting in our kitchen window, waiting for spring to arrive!

I’ve been having such a great time playing with the “Antique Garden” add-on kit. The papers are beautiful, and the embellishments go with everything perfectly.  I know I say it each month, but the March kit has to be my fave!!
